Please read these terms carefully. They apply whenever you use our website or place an order with Seadan Farms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Seadan Farms website and your purchase of our products. By browsing this site, placing an order, or completing a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and by our Refund & Returns Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.
2. Who we are
Seadan Farms produces and sells premium smoked catfish with nationwide delivery across Nigeria. Our processing facility is located at 4 Anifowoshe Lane, Off Akillo Street, Ladi-Lak Bus Stop, Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria. 3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to place an order. Our products and delivery services are intended for customers within Nigeria unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing for export orders.
4. Our products are sold by weight
Our smoked catfish is a natural food product sold by weight (in kilograms). Any piece counts, portion sizes, or quantities shown on the site are estimates only. Because fish vary in size from one production batch to another, the exact number of pieces you receive may be more or fewer than the estimate, while still meeting the weight you ordered.
To confirm you have received what you paid for, we encourage you to weigh your order on receipt. Colour, texture, and appearance may also vary slightly batch to batch. Product images are for illustration.
5. Pricing and payment
- All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable charges unless stated otherwise. Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout.
- Prices and offers may change at any time, but changes do not affect orders we have already accepted.
- Payment is made via our secure payment partner (Paystack) or by bank transfer where offered. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
- We make reasonable efforts to ensure prices are accurate. If we discover a genuine pricing error after you order, we will contact you to confirm or cancel before dispatch.
6. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion — for example, where stock is unavailable, the delivery address is outside our coverage, payment cannot be verified, or we suspect fraud. Where we cannot fulfil an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
7. Delivery and your availability to receive
- We deliver nationwide via our riders and trusted courier partners. Lagos same-day delivery is available in select zones for orders placed before the daily cut-off.
- Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, courier delays, or events outside our control.
- You must be available to receive your order (or arrange for someone to receive it on your behalf) at the address and contact number you provide. Please keep your phone reachable on the delivery day.
- If a package is dispatched and you are unavailable to receive it, or the address/contact details are wrong, a fresh delivery fee will apply for any re-attempt. As a perishable product, the goods must also remain fit for consumption for re-delivery to proceed.
8. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Because we sell perishable food, returns and refunds are handled under specific conditions, including forfeiture of delivery fees, the cost of return delivery, and a service charge. 9. Food safety and storage
Our products are processed under strict hygiene standard operating procedures and thoroughly smoked. Once your order is delivered, proper storage is your responsibility: keep the product refrigerated or frozen as advised and consume it within the recommended shelf life. We are not liable for spoilage caused by improper storage or handling after delivery.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this site — including the Seadan Farms name, logo, text, graphics, and images — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have that cannot be excluded under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other applicable Nigerian law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order is the version that applies to that order. We record the policy version you agreed to at checkout.
